PROFILE

I am a native of Richmond and a graduate of Thomas Dale High School, Hampden-Sydney College and the University of Richmond Law School. While in law school, I served as Student Bar President and won the Carrico Moot Court Competition.

After my graduation from law school, I became an associate at this law firm. I gained experience as a criminal defense and family law attorney by working directly with my senior partner, Murray J. Janus. This experience has been priceless and enables me to effectively represent my clients in state and federal court. I became a partner in this firm of Bremner, Janus & Stone in January of 2006.

I have tried criminal and family law cases in courts throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia and the United States District Courts. I have handled appeals in the United States Supreme Court, Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, Supreme Court of Virginia and Court of Appeals of Virginia.

I am admitted to practice in the United States Supreme Court, Supreme Court of Virginia, Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia.

I am member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Virginia Bar Association, Bar Association of Richmond, Virginia Trial Lawyer’s Association and the John Marshall Inn of Court.

I have been seen on 48 Hours Mystery, Dateline, Court T.V. and Snapped. I have appeared on the front covers of the Richmond Times Dispatch, Progress Index and the Village News.
